IMPORTANT: Compatibility Requirements - Please Read Before Purchasing
Required App: This tracker works exclusively with the Google Find My Device app. Please verify that your phone can download and run this app before ordering.
How It Works: This tracker operates similarly to Apple AirTags but uses Google's network. It relies on nearby Android phones to update its location. Other Android users must have Google Find My Device registered on their devices to help report your tracker's location back to you.
Location Update Requirements:
For Google Find My Device to effectively track this device, the following conditions must be met:
1. Power & Internet Connection
Tracker must be powered on and connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data)
If offline, only the last known location will be displayed (for offline-compatible devices)
2. Google Account Setup
Must be logged into a Google account with "Find My Device" enabled
Verify in: Settings > Google > Find My Device
3. Location Services Active
Location services must be enabled on your phone.
Check in: Settings > Location
4. Find My Device Network (for Offline Tracking)
Requires Android 9 or higher
Uses crowdsourced location through nearby Android devices
Device must be set to participate: "High-traffic areas" or "All areas."
Nearby Android phones (running Android 9+) detect your tracker via Bluetooth and upload encrypted location data
5. Special Hardware Features
Some devices (like Pixel 8 series) can be located even when powered off for several hours using low-power Bluetooth.
Requires compatible hardware
6. Bluetooth Tracker Requirements
Bluetooth must be enabled for tracker tags and accessories.
Allows network detection of your device's location
7. Security & Sync Settings
Screen lock (PIN/pattern/password) must be configured for encryption.
Enable "Store Recent Locations" in: Settings > Google > Find My Device
Important Limitations:
Tracker will NOT update in real-time if Wi-Fi, mobile data, or Bluetooth are disabled, or if in airplane mode.
Standard devices (non-Pixel 8) cannot be located when powered off or battery depleted.
Update frequency depends on crowd density and network settings ("high-traffic areas" vs. "all areas")
